Victor Smialek and Franz Woess Racing headed to the Misano World Circuit in Italy.
With pole position and a great start, Victor pushed forward and never looked back. He held off his rivals and widened his lead, leaving a considerable gap, while claiming victory in the first race - accompanied by some ceremonial victory donuts afterwards. Starting in third position, Victor was hoping to carry the momentum into race two. Initially, he was able to climb into second and challenge the leader until he was forced off the track to avoid a maneuver, dropping him down to sixteenth place. He fought hard and worked his way back up to fourth, only to be held up by a safety car. Despite his best efforts, Victor overcame worn tires and race penalties to bring home a 3rd place finish.
“Easily the best weekend of the year. Misano is a track I did very well at last year which meant I didn't need to spend too much time getting comfortable. [I] qualified pole by over half a second and would have been on pole for race 2 as well but had traffic in the final sector.
Race 1 was satisfying as there were no safety cars which meant everyone could push nonstop for the whole race and I won by a straightaway. It was good to know that when experience wasn't the major deciding factor I could beat everyone. Race 2 was a disappointment with the corner 1 disaster but that's the way it is. [I] ended the season strong and now onto 2025. Thank you to my team, family, sponsors and supporters for everything.”.
